What Would You Do If You Had to Take the Helm? You’re out on the water when suddenly the person who normally operates the boat can’t. Would you know what to do? Join the Texas Maritime Museum and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for “Suddenly in Command,” a two-hour boating safety course designed to help passengers, family members, and new boat owners confidently take control in an emergency. This practical course covers what you need to know if the primary operator becomes incapacitated or falls overboard, including how to safely take command and get everyone back to shore. Suddenly in Command Boating Course Saturday, September 26 10 AM–12 PM Texas Maritime Museum Education Room Registration begins at 9:30 AM $5 per person Ages 13 and up Please note: Payment must be made in person on the day of the event.
